CompareMedia Inventory Management is a premium feature within Roland DG Connect designed to give print businesses accurate, real-time control over their media inventory.
When enabled, the printer automatically prints a media ID barcode after cutting. This barcode stores the media type and remaining length, allowing the printer and Roland DG Connect to recognise the roll during future setups. Remaining media levels are displayed directly on the printer and in the Roland DG Connect dashboard, eliminating guesswork and manual tracking.
The system supports centralised cloud-based management of all media rolls and allows shared media presets across multiple printers, ensuring consistent setup and repeatable results. Media Inventory Management is compatible with select Roland DG models and requires opaque media, the latest printer firmware, and Roland DG Connect Hub software.
